Nursery worker (20) admits raping a toddler in Birmingham

A teenage girl groomed by Paul Wilson contacted police, which led them to his crimes. He’s pleaded guilty to a total of 47 charges including rape and making indecent images.

A BIRMINGHAM CHILDCARE worker has pleaded guilty to raping a child at the nursery where he worked.

Twenty-year-old Paul Anthony Wilson has been described as a “very dangerous individual” by police. Officers found images of him abusing the toddler and charged him with two counts of rape. The Birmingham Post reports that Wilson was charged with oral rape and that the child in question was two or three years old.

Wilson also admitted to grooming 22 girls between the ages of 12 and 25 to engage in sexual activity on the internet, reports the BBC.

One of the girls contacted the police and Wilson’s home was raided. It’s believed that the appropriate checks had been carried out on him before he started work at the Little Stars Nursery. He had no previous criminal record. He pleaded guilty to 47 charges in total.

Wilson will be sentenced on 27 July, but has been warned that he faces an indeterminate jail sentence.
