The 2 things happening in Leinster House today

It’s the first of two Friday sittings planned for this month under Dáil reforms that have come into effect this week.

That means there’s not much happening on Kildare Street today:

• Dáil: Flouride – TDs debates the Fluoridation of Water Supplies Repeal Bill 2013 brought forward by Sinn Féin’s Brian Stanley at 10am. The bill provides for the removal of fluoride from the water supply in Ireland.
• Dáil: Alcohol sponsorship – After midday TDs consider a report on the sponsorship of sports by the alcohol industry which was published by the Transport Committee in July.

The Dáil adjourns for the week at 2pm.
