PSNI OFFICERS HAVE arrested one man in connection with the death of a 24-year-old man in Derry last night.

The man was stabbed to death around 10.30pm at an apartment block in Castledawson on the main Belfast to Derry road. A man in his early 20s was arrested close to the scene.

In a separate incident, a young nurse in Tyrone was stabbed in the head as she opened her front door yesterday morning.
