Pedestrian dies after being knocked down in Carlow

Police say the woman in her 30s collided with a car at around 11am this morning.

GARDAÍ ARE SEEKING information from the public following the death of a woman in Carlow town centre this morning.

The fatal collision took place at Thompsons Corner in the centre of Carlow this morning at around 11am.

Gardaí said a female pedestrian aged in her 30’s was seriously injured after colliding with a truck.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are traffic diversions in place in order to facilitate a Garda forensic examination.
