Plane diverted over "strange smell"

This is the second time in two days that a plane has been diverted because of a strange smell on board.

A PLANE FLYING to Madrid was diverted after a “strange smell” was reported on board.

The BBC reports that the plane, which was flying from Frankfurt, was forced to land in Zurich after the strange smell was detected coming from the kitchen.

Three staff were hospitalised for precautionary reasons.

Yesterday a US Airways plane travelling from Philadelphia to Zurich was diverted to Boston after a strange smell was also detected on board.

Fox News reports that four staff on board the plane were taken to hospital after saying they felt unwell.
