The President will pay an official visit to Britain in April. But are you pleased with the news?

THREE YEARS SINCE Queen Elizabeth II made history by paying a visit to Ireland, she has invited the Irish President to return the favour.

On 8-10 April next year, President Michael D Higgins will become the first Irish head of state to visit Britain.

The news has been welcomed by political parties and is seen as a way to advance relations between Ireland and Britain.
