power cut

Power cut in Dublin city centre

THE BUSY DUBLIN city centre area around Harcourt and Camden Street is currently without electricity. The power cut hit at lunchtime and left businesses and residential properties in the dark, and in some cases, without heating.

The ESB have confirmed to that there is a local fault to the power supply and that their engineers are at the scene trying to correct it. “In an urban area, this could take up to two hours to fix,” said an ESB service person.
