Public asked to vote in Irish internet awards

The eircom Spider awards now have 18 categories, with TheJournal.ie and TheScore.ie nominated in four.

THE PUBLIC HAS been asked to have their say in the eircom Spider Awards.

With a week to go to the annual internet awards, people can send in their votes for the best business resource website in the country.

The nominees are:

A total of 18 awards will be given out on the night, in categories that include retail excellence, news and entertainment.

This year, TheJournal.ie has been nominated in the News and Entertainment category but we’re also up for the Best Mobile App award and Social Media Interaction.

Our sister site, TheScore.ie, has also been recognised for its achievements in bringing Irish readers closer to the action on and off the sports field.

In addition to playing a part in the outcome of the eventual result, voters in the business choice award will be in with a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
