THE BELOVED CHILDREN’S show Sesame Street is coming to Netflix and it will be “reimagined” with a brand new look.
Sesame Street debuted in 1969 and soon after moved to US public television provider PBS.
It remained with PBS for some 46 years, before moving to HBO, under the ownership of Warner Bros. Discovery, in 2016.
However, in late 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery decided not to renew its deal with Sesame Street and into the breach stepped Netflix.
From Monday, new episodes of Sesame Street will arrive on Netflix, with Miley Cyrus acting as one of the celebrity guests.
