BATTEN DOWN THE hatches, at least for the next few hours because Met Éireann is forecasting more heavy and thundery downpours tonight.
Local flash flooding is forecast in some areas but it will become dry overnight with mist and fog patches developing.
There will continue to be a risk of heavy and thundery showers, particularly in the northern countries. Temperates will go as low as 11 degrees celsius.
Tomorrow more areas will have sunny intervals with some staying largely dry but there will be rain. The north will again be hit by heavy showers, some of them thundery and with some flash flooding.
Temperatures will go as high as 23 degrees celsius. Sunny spells are forecast for the weekend but there’ll be some rain showers too.
