Gardaí investigating daylight robbery at Champion Sports in Blanchardstown

Two men took a small amount of cash and made their getaway on a motorcycle.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a robbery at a Champion Sports store in the Westend Retail Park in Blanchardstown.

Today gardaí confirmed that two men, both wearing motorcycle helmets, were involved in the robbery which occurred between 5pm and 5.10pm yesterday evening. A garda spokesperson said the two men had ‘some kind of implement’ but neither are thought to have been armed with guns.

A video taken by a customer shows one man behind the counter while the second is on lookout outside the store.

Gardaí said that a small amount of cash was taken and the men made their getaway on a motorcycle.
