Indecent Assault

Disgraced TV star Rolf Harris cleared of further sex offences

Harris has previously been found guilty on sex charges.

ROLF HARRIS HAS been cleared of sex offences at a London court.

The former television star, 86, was on trial for seven counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault which allegedly took place between 1971 and 2003.

Harris has been cleared of three of the charges and the jury failed to reach a verdict on the other counts.

Harris was previously found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault committed between 1968 and 1986 on girls aged age from seven or eight to 19.

During this most recent trial, Harris appeared ‘in the dock’ by a virtual link after a judge ruled that he did not have to attend in person due to his age and health.

Harris found fame in the 1960s through television work with the BBC, through music and also for his painting.

His success continued into the 1990s with the highly successful Animal Hospital show on the BBC.
