YOU SEEMED LIKE such a nice girl, Maria Walsh.
Gardaí say the Rose of Tralee is currently being held at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick city.
No further details have been revealed of the nature behind her arrest, but in pictures posted to the force’s Facebook page she appears to be quite happy with the whole situation.
Walsh paid a visit to the station during her Trek2Tralee fundraiser, in which she will be running and cycling more than 242 kilometres to the Rose of Tralee event, where she will hand over her crown to this year’s winner.
The challenge is in aid of Barretstown, Development Perspectives, Donal Walsh #LiveLife Again.
So far €3,000 has been raised with one day left to go.
Gardaí from Limerick joined her today for the stretch from Limerick to Castleisland.
“That’s if she makes bail,” they added.
