RTÉ PRESENTER BRENDAN O’Connor announced last night that this will be the last series of the Saturday Night Show.
The slot is going to be filled instead by Ray D’Arcy with a new show this autumn, the details of which have yet to be ironed out.
The show currently has an average audience of 438,200 viewers. On one occasion recently, Saturday Night Show overtook The Late Late Show’s viewership, demonstrating a growing popularity.
It’s possible the loyalty D’Arcy has built up over his decades in the media could pull in a significant viewership, provided it hasn’t been lost since he left Today FM.
We want to know who you prefer: Will you watch Ray D’Arcy, or Ryan Tubridy?
