Man (33) shot dead at Kildare house

The man was brought to Naas General Hospital with serious gunshot wounds but died shortly after 6am.

A 33-YEAR-OLD MAN has died after he was shot at a house in Kildare early this morning.

The incident happened at a house in Kilmeage in Naas. The man was brought to Naas General Hospital with serious gunshot injuries but was pronounced dead shortly after 6am.

The house is currently sealed off for examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses or anyone who may have any information about the shooting to contact Naas Garda station on 045 884 300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

It is the second fatal shooting in the past 12 hours: a 35-year-old man died after he was dropped off at St James’s Hospital in Dublin with gunshot wounds late last night.
