Proof: There IS snow in some parts of Ireland today
Has it reached you yet?

Updated 4.10pm

THERE WERE BITTER arguments in offices across Cork today about whether it was snowing or ‘sleeting’ outside.

But we’ve received some pictorial proof to show that it did, indeed, snow in some parts of the country.

William O’Callaghan sent us this clever picture – with the tagline ‘Polar Conditions in Strandhill’ – this afternoon.

Sarah Townsend and her dog Penny also enjoyed the beautiful sights of a snowy Benbulben in Sligo today.

This was the scene at IT Sligo today, as captured by Barry Clohessy.

Another reader, Ciarán Behan, shared his view of Ballina at 8am with us.

Highland Radio reporter Barry Whyte showed us a snowy Letterkenny.

Here are Oliver and Eabha Lily Fallon enjoying the white stuff in Parke, Kinnegad at 8.30am.

And another shot from the same garden from Fionnuala Rogers.

Meanwhile, Martin McGuinness tweeted this image of The Sperrins in Northern Ireland this morning.
