1.#UNTENABLE: A group of eight TDs today alled for Justice Minister Alan Shatter to resign in the wake of the controversy over alleged surveillance at the Garda Ombudsman and the handling of a garda whistleblower. The eight say Shatter’s position is ‘untenable’.

2.#UKRAINE: At least 26 people are dead and 67 police officers have been ‘seized’ as violent clashes spread across the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. The violence comes as the EU meets to discuss the crisis.

3.#MISCONDUCT: The Taoiseach says that he will act on documents passed to his department by Fianna Fáil leader Micheal Martin. Kenny said the allegations in the documents he has received are “very grave”.

4.#RETURNED: A taxi stolen from a family home has been found. Taxi driver Christy Mahon had appealed for the return of the taxi after it was stolen on Monday. A TheJournal.ie reader spotted the taxi in Tallaght, reporting it to gardaí.

5.#TRIPLE A: A new political party has launched, saying that it is aiming to take seats in the local elections from the Labour Party. The Anti-Austerity Alliance (AAA) will run 41 candidates across the country, with five sitting councillors among their ranks.
