• No plans have been reached to end fuel protests and blockades of critical infrastructure after talks between government ministers and industry representatives.
• Fire and ambulance services are to be curtailed because of fuel shortages caused by the ongoing protests and blockades, the government’s emergency group has said. 
• Gardaí have erected barriers near the entrance to the Whitegate Refinery facility in east Cork as a standoff has developed between a line of gardaí and protesters. 
• A healthy teenager in State care must spend the weekend in a major hospital “as a last resort” after Gardaí were unable to transport him to a Tusla emergency placement in Dublin due to the motorway fuel protests, a court has heard.
• DPD is to suspend its courier services in Ireland tomorrow due to the ongoing fuel protests.
• A further 36 sets of infant remains have been found as part of the ongoing excavation of the site of the former Mother and Baby Institution in Tuam.
• Gardaí are to exhume the remains of Leitrim man Liam Farrell in order to “progress the case forensically”.
