Man charged over discovery of Macroom body

The 30-year-old man is the third to be arrested over the death of Don Geasley; he will appear before Bantry District Court tomorrow.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the death of a 42-year-old man in Macroom in Co Cork have today arrested and charged a third man in connection with their inquiries.

The 30-year-old man was arrested this morning and is being detained at Bandon Garda station before appearing before Bantry District Court tomorrow morning.

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Don Geasley’s body, at a house in Massytown in Macroom on September 15.

A post-mortem examination was carried out but the results will not be released for operational reasons.

Two men were arrested in connection with Geasley’s death last month but both were later released without charge.
