GARDAÍ IN CO CORK have arrested three men following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation operation in Youghal last night.
Cannabis plants were discovered at around 11pm during a garda search at a business premises in an industrial estate at Springfield.
Gardaí say that the large number of plants discovered at the property could have a street value of around €500,000 (pending further analysis).
Three Asian men, one aged in his 20s and two in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Midleton and Cobh Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
The scene of last night’s discovery remains sealed off to facilitate a forensic examination.
