DUBLIN FIREFIGHTERS HAVE extinguished a major fire in Lucan after a truck went up in flames this morning.

The vehicle caught fire near a circle K on the Lucan Road at around 7am, causing traffic delays.

Firefighter units from Tallaght and Blanchardstown were drafted in to tackle the blaze.

A truck’s contents consisted of aerosol cans and textiles, which contributed to a “high intensity fire”, Dublin Fire Brigade said.

The Environmental Protection Agency and South Dublin County Council have been informed of the incident.
