Twitter user sells @Israel for six-figure amount

A SPANISH INTERNET USER has figured out how to make money from Twitter – he has managed to sell his username, @Israel, to the country’s foreign ministry. Israel Meléndez (real name) set up the account in 2007 when the site was still in its infancy; Twitter does not allow usernames to be sold, so Meléndez said Israel “bought the user” instead.
