Two arrested in Louth after bomb-making material found

A large amount of fertilizer was found at a house in Hackballcross and two men in their fifties were arrested.

THE ARMY BOMB disposal team has been called to a house in Co. Louth after bomb-making material was found there.

Gardaí have arrested two men in Co. Louth as part of an operation targeting dissident activities, reports Breaking News. The pair, both in their fifties are being held at Balbriggan and Drogheda Garda Stations.

RTÉ reports that a substantial amount of fertilizer was recovered in a building adjacent to the house in Hackballcross. The operation – involving Gardaí from the Special Detective Unit, The Emergency Response Unit – was planned.
