Two die after farm accidents in Tipperary and Meath

Toddler drowned in rainwater and man fell from shed roof in separate accidents.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE DIED after separate accidents in Tipperary and Meath.

A toddler under two years of age drowned while visiting a farm in Co Meath, according to Today FM radio news.

The child fell into rainwater shortly before noon, and was taken to hospital in Drogheda, where he was pronounced dead. Gardaí described the death as a tragedy.

In Co Tipperary, a 67-year-old man died after falling through the roof of his shed at a farm in Coolmore, Fethard. RTÉ reports that the man is believed to have fallen at around 9.30am, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
