Two men arrested after gardaí uncover 'cannabis cultivation site'

GARDAÍ IN Co Louth have uncovered what officers describe as a “substantial cannabis cultivation site” during the search of a property at Seatown in Dundalk. Around 800 cannabis plants were seized during the search as well as 7kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €400,000. Two men aged 31 and 42 were arrested at the scene and are being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
