MORE NEEDS TO be done to ensure teenagers are aware of the risks underage drinking poses, Alcohol Action Ireland has said.

Responding to new figures on test purchases, CEO Suzanne Costello said its important to know the impact that drinking before maturity can have on the body.

However, despite these damaging effects, underage drinking still remains a significant issue in Ireland.
