A CONFERENCE HELD this week in Cork has heard that the low level of physical activity recorded by Irish people has many implications for public health.
A lack of exercise contributes to obesity-related conditions, including hypertension and diabetes. The minimum recommended level of moderate intensity activity – such as walking or cycling – is 150 minutes per week but only one third of the population is thought to meet those requirements.
Today, we’re interested to hear about your experiences. Do you get enough exercise?
Tell us why/why not in the comments section below.
