Witnesses sought following fatal road crash

A man’s car collided with a telegraph pole at around 4.25am today.

GARDAÍ ARE SEEKING witness to a fatal collision that took place in Moville.

Gardaí are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision, which occurred at Greencastle Road, Moville at approximately 4.25am this morning.

A man in his mid 20′s was fatally injured when his car left the road and collided with a telegraph pole. He has been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road has been closed for an examination by garda forensic collision investigators.

Local diversions are in place but gardaí say that no articulated lorries or heavy good vehicles will have access between Moville and Greencastle in both directions until the road re-opens.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074 9320540, the Garda confidential telephone line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
