Woman (70s) dies after single-vehicle crash in Co Limerick
The crash occurred on the Abington Road, Murroe, Co Limerick at approximately 4:10pm.
A WOMAN IN her 70s died in a single-vehicle collision in Co Limerick yesterday.
The crash occurred on the Abington Road, Murroe, Co Limerick at approximately 4:10pm.
The woman, who was driving the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will take place.
No other injuries were reported.
The road is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 3:50pm and 4:20pm, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
