Woman struck by car in Co Mayo dies
The woman was a pedestrian who was struck by a car on 23 December.
A WOMAN WHO was struck by a car in Co Mayo earlier this month has died.
Gardaí said today that the 81-year-old woman has died in hospital following a collision in Castlebar, Co Mayo on 23 December 2013.
The woman was struck by a car as she crossed the Pontoon Road in the town at about 1.30pm on that date.
She was removed by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital but died there late yesterday evening.
The collision is under investigation by gardaí. Any witnesses are asked to contact Castlebar Garda Station on 094 9038200.
