Body found in search for missing Barry Davis Ryan

The body was found earlier today at a location close to where he entered the water.

SEARCH TEAMS HAVE located a body in the search for 21-year-old Barry Davis Ryan – who went missing more than a week ago when his father and girlfriend were drowned in an accident in Baltimore, West Cork.

The body was found this afternoon at a location close to where he entered the water.

Volunteers from all over the country have been involved in the search this week.

Dozens of divers, including members of the gardaí, were involved in today’s search, along with lifeboat and rescue crews.

A formal identification has yet to take place.

According to Baltimore RNLI:

“Divers recovered the body around midday and have brought him to the lifeboat station.

We are so relieved that he can be returned to his family and offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of all affected by this tragedy.
