3 men charged over Dublin gun seizure

The men are due before the Dublin District Court today.

THREE MEN ARE due to appear before court this afternoon charged in relation to a gun seizure in Dublin earlier this week.

Four men were arrested following the seizure of firearms at Greenogue Industrial estate, Baldonnel, Co Dublin on Tuesday.

Gardaí recovered fifteen firearms, including a number of revolvers and semi-automatic weapons.

They also seized one sub-machine gun and one assault rifle, as well as 1,300 rounds of assorted ammunition, a substantial amount of cash and documents related to bank accounts.

Three of the men are due to appear before the Dublin District Court at 2pm today in relation to the seizure.

A fourth man was released on Wednesday without charge.

Speaking about the seizure on Tuesday, Detective Superintendent Tony Howard of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (DOCB) said that gardaí had foiled “an imminent attack”.
