18-year-old charged over fatal Co Waterford crash

One woman was killed in the three-vehicle collision yesterday.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with a fatal traffic collision in Ardmore, Co Waterford yesterday evening.

A woman in her 50s was killed when the car she was travelling as a passenger in was involved in a three-car collision at Kiely’s Cross.

The two other occupants of that car were taken to hospital with minor injuries, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Two occupants of a second car were uninjured, and the 18-year-old man driving the other vehicle was arrested at the scene.

He will appear before the district court in Cashel, Co Tipperary at midday tomorrow.
