Man arrested over ramming of garda car in Limerick

Two female gardaí were injured after their car was rammed in Castletroy yesterday.

A MAN HAS been arrested in Limerick in connection with the ramming of a garda car yesterday.

The man in his 40s was arrested at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick city this morning.

Two female gardaí were injured after their car was rammed as they responded to an emergency call in Bru na Gruadan in Casteltroy, Co Limerick yesterday.

The man who was arrested this morning was taken to Henry Street Garda station where he is being questioned under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí say their investigation is continuing.
