Castletroy area in general has been a hot spot for vandalism for years. but in typical media fashion, it wasnt reported as Castletroy had a good name, they have only started reporting it lately as it is now an area which is housing people from the regeneration project. a shame really, no matter where you go in this world there is going to be an element of trouble, is a simple fact of life. what I can’t understand is why so many people here have given thumbs down to comments similar to mine. I’m pretty sure most of these people don’t live in castletroy, and prob have never even been to castletroy or indeed limerick. I used to live there, in one of the more exclusive estates there and ya I was renting. My nextdoor neighbour built the 48 houses in this estate. 12 years ago he had to install cameras as his house was broken into twice. the social housing only started in castletroy in the last 3-4 years. so will ye stop blaming what is going on in limerick/castletroy on a minority of people, the original castletroy residents cause as much trouble if not more than anyone else.
