Man discovers he's won €350,000 jackpot ... eight weeks later

He’s going to surprise his wife with the news tonight.

A DUBLIN MAN is celebrating this week after discovering he had a winning Lotto ticket at home in a drawer … for eight weeks.

The lucky player bought his ticket on Saint Stephen’s Day.

He won the top prize of €350,000 in the Lotto Plus 1 draw the following evening, 27 December, but didn’t realise he was a Lotto winner until a few days ago.

The man claimed the money at the National Lottery offices in Dublin today.

He wishes to remain anonymous and said his wife is still in the dark about the news.

I haven’t even told my wife yet.  I’m going to surprise her tonight when I arrive home with the cheque. She’ll be over the moon!

He bought his Quick Pick ticket in Duffy’s, Old Bawn Shopping Centre in Tallaght.

Tomorrow night’s Lotto jackpot is an estimated €4 million.
