Man dies after being found stabbed outside house in Limerick

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the man outside a house in Limerick city early this morning.

A MAN HAS died after he was found outside a house in Limerick with multiple stab wounds in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the death after the man, 43, was found outside a house in Lenihan Avenue in Ballinacurra Weston at 12.35am this morning.

Gardaí say that  the man had number of stab wounds and was lying just outside the front door of the house. He was taken to Mid Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The house and surrounding area have been sealed off and a technical examination team us due to carry out work later today. The State Pathologist’s Office has been informed.

Gardaí say there have been no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
