Your landlord may be able to spruce up your rented home now

Michael Noonan said the move would continues to support ‘legitimate operators’ in the home renovation sector.

THE SUCCESSFUL HOME renovation tax incentive is being extended, Finance Minister Michael Noonan has said.

“I am extending the Home Renovation Incentive to rental properties whose owners are liable to income tax,” the Finance Minister said, as he continued his Budget speech this afternoon.

The extension of the scheme comes into operation tonight, and continues until the end of 2015, Noonan confirmed.

He said the move would continues to support ‘legitimate operators’ in the home renovation sector.
