Poll shows Labour ahead in Dublin constituencies

New Millward Brown/Lansdowne poll for the Evening Herald is good news for the Labour Party.

A NEW OPINION POLL BEING published in today’s Evening Herald puts Labour ahead of the other parties in Dublin.

The poll of over 1,000 people was taken across Dublin’s 12 constituencies between Wednesday and Friday of last week, according to the Herald’s Kevin Doyle.

Discounting the undecideds, the poll shows support of 31 per cent for Labour, with Fine Gael in second at 29 per cent.

The poll breaks down as follows:

  • Labour Party – 31%
  • Fine Gael – 29%
  • Independents – 16%
  • Sinn Féin – 11%
  • Fianna Fáil – 10%
  • Green Party – 3%

On Sunday, the Sunday Business Post published a Red C poll which suggested support in Dublin for Fine Gael and Labour was tied at 29 per cent.
