Poll: Who gets your vote for President of Ireland?

With only four candidates currently putting their names forward for the Áras, we give you the chance to tell us which (of any) of them gets your No.1.

THE FIELD OF candidates for Áras an Úachtaráin is stuck at four since the last fortnight saw the likes of high-profile suggestions Gay ByrneMichéal Ó Muircheartaigh and er, Martin Sheen, rule themselves out of the running.

MEP Brian Crowley decided last Tuesday that he would not bid for the Fianna Fáil nomination because the party “has demonstrated that it does not want an internal party candidate to contest” the Áras 2011 election. David Norris’s bid as an independent candidate came to an end on 2 August while publisher Niall O’Dowd explained to TheJournal.ie’s readers last month that he felt the power elites of Ireland did their damnest to denigrate his intentions to run.

So of the candidates that are currently in the running, who would you like to see as President of Ireland?
