Padraig – r u for real !!! Even the dogs on the street know that alcohol and tobacco are more dangerous. Alcohol causes much more damage than cannabis, both on an individual and societal level. Yes cannabis can have negative consequences, but after all it is a drug. When used in moderation most users can lead perfectly normal lives.

The real bullshit is spending millions persuing a failed drug policy of prohibition that hasnt succeeded in a single country worldwide. Problems arising from cigarettes and alcohol are paid for through the massive taxes paid on them. Yet recreational drug users are criminalised and those who actually may have a problem have underfunded services to help them.

You’re entitled to your opinion. I’d just like to know more as to why an obviously failed drug policy is better than exploring the possibility of legalising it?
