Woman in her 40s stabbed in Cavan
Man in his 50s has been arrested by gardai.
A WOMAN IS being treated in hospital for serious stab wounds she suffered in an attack this evening.
The stabbing of the woman – who is in her late 40s – took place at a house in the small village of Kilnaleck, Co Cavan this afternoon.
She was taken to Cavan General Hospital where her injuries are described as serious.
Gardai have arrested a man in his 50s in connection with this incident. He is currently being questioned at Cavan Garda station and a full technical examination of the scene at Kilnaleck is underway.
