A JUVENILE WAS among three people arrested after gardaí seized jewellery and cash as part of ‘Operation Fiacla’ on Friday.
Gardaí from the Organised Crime Unit carried out the arrests and recovered the items following an operation in the Drogheda area, County Louth, on 31 October.
They said that the discovery was made when Gardaí stopped and searched a car as part of Operation Fiacla near Balrothery, County Dublin.
After an assortment of jewellery and a quantity of cash were recovered, gardaí arrested three males, aged 42, 35 and a juvenile, at the scene.
The two men were taken to Balbriggan and Drogheda Garda Stations where they are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The juvenile was released from Garda custody without charge. Gardaí said that investigations are ongoing.
