Two killed in Co Tipperary crash

A man and a woman lost their lives in a traffic collision on the main Limerick to Waterford road last night.

TWO PEOPLE WERE killed and two seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Co Tipperary last night.

A male, who was the sole occupant of one car, and a female who was travelling in a second car both lost their lives in the collision on the N24, on the main Limerick to Waterford road. The deceased male was aged in his late teens and the female was aged in her 20s.

The collision occurred at approximately 11.20 just outside Bansha in Co Tipperary.

The two injured were males aged in their late teens and early 20s travelling in the second car, and have been taken to Clonmel Hospital.

The scene has been closed off for technical examination and diversions are in place.
