Woman critical after crash which killed 8-year-old girl

The child is believed to be the woman’s daughter.

A WOMAN IN her 30s remains in critical condition in hospital after a crash in Cork which killed an 8-year-old girl.

Reports today suggest that the girl was the woman’s daughter.

The crash happened at Owenahincha Cross, Rosscarbery, Clonakilty, when two cars collided at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.

Five other people received minor injuries in the crash, including the driver and three other passengers in the car that the woman and girl were travelling in, and the 17-year-old driver of the second car.

The woman is being treated at Cork University Hospital.
