GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the fatal stabbing of a Wexford man at his home earlier this week have arrested a 25-year-old in connection with their investigation.
The arrested man is being held in connection with the death of Jason Ryan, 27, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Ryan answered the door to a caller at his Hollyville Heights home shortly after midnight and became involved in an altercation with the male visitor, during which he was stabbed.
He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.
The arrested man is being held at Wexford Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and investigations are ongoing.
