Gardaí recover stolen property worth €300,000 in Kildare

Four men have been arrested and three are due to appear in court this morning.

GARDAÍ HAVE RECOVERED a significant amount of property, believed to be stolen, during a search in Kildare yesterday.

At 9.30pm members of the Organised Crime Unit and National Bureau of Criminal Investigations assisted by members of the Air Support Unit and Garda National Drugs Unit searched a storage unit premises at Straffan, Co Kildare.

A substantial amount of property believed to be stolen was located, including commercial coffee machines, clothing and a range of vitamin products. Gardaí are currently examining this property but it is believed to be valued at approximately €300,000 .

Four men, ranging in age from mid 20′s to early 40′s were arrested at the storage area and were detained under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Naas, Lucan and Leixlip Garda Stations.

Three of the men will appear this morning at Kilcock District Court at 10.30am charged in relation to this incident. The fourth man was released yesterday and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
