1. #TRAGEDY: The Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise has apologised to the parents of an eight-year-old boy who died 18 hours after he was discharged from its Emergency Department. Richard de Souza died in 2011 from toxic shock after suffering from chicken pox from which he developed a secondary infection.

2. #IRISH MOTHERS: The Convention on the Constitution has told the government that it should make the clause about the role of women in the home gender-neutral.

3. #RENTS: A new database launched today shows you how much rent is being paid for houses and apartments across the country as opposed to the asking price. The Economic and Social Research Institute has compiled the database for the Private Residential Tenancies Board.

4. #REILLY: Over 100 jobs are to be created at the primary care centre in Balbriggan, north Dublin that was the subject of much controversy last year when it emerged the site is located in Health Minister James Reilly’s constituency and was added to the list of proposed facilities at the last minute.

5. #SOARING: After a 100 year absence, white-tailed eagles could be about to return to Ireland after the successful birth of two eaglets in the south west last week. But not everybody is happy.
