1. #VOTE The same-sex marriage referendum will take place next May, possibly in the first week of the month. Cabinet reached agreement on the timing this morning.

2. #DRUG PROJECT The first Irish drug injecting centre is planned for Dublin. The Ana Liffey Drug Project is hoping to present draft legislation on the issue to Minister for Health Leo Varadkar next year.

3. #DEATHS The six Taliban gunmen who shot and killed at least 130 people in Pakistan – including children at school – have been found dead inside the building.

4. #SINN FÉIN Gerry Adams said that Sinead O’Connor should take allegations she has made about Sinn Féin abuse to the gardaí. She says she was molested by an SF member as a child.

5. #FREE FALL The Russian Rouble lost 20% in value today, and the central bank decided to raise interest rates to strengthen the currency. Russians have been told to “get used to it”.
