“GOOD MORNING” IS certainly not what goes through your head when you roll over and hit the snooze button for the third time.
But imagine if it was… Imagine if you could be a whole new person who actually enjoyed and made use of their mornings?
Resisting the urge to cuddle up for an extra ten minutes is worth it. You will be much more motivated for the day ahead if you get up.
Every time you hit snooze, you make waking up even harder for yourself.
Eat breakfast. Having a good breakfast will leave you feeling less fatigued and more cheerful for the rest of the day.
Your body can be stiff after sleeping. Taking a few minutes in the morning to loosen up by doing a bit of exercise will leave you feeling revived and ready for the day ahead.
Packing your bag for work, preparing your lunch and laying out your outfit the night before will make for a calm, organised morning.
Think of each thing you prepare in advance as one less thing you’ll have to remember in the morning.
Give yourself time in the morning before you go checking your work emails. Waiting until you are ready for the day ahead will prevent any unnecessary early morning panics.
It’s not a waste of time. Taking a minute to spruce up your bed in the morning is well worth it. Coming home to a nicely made bed is very satisfying and it might even entice you to hit the hay a little earlier.
So you’ve organised your bag and bits for the day ahead, gone to bed early and gotten up early enough to make a healthy breakfast.
You definitely deserve a prize. Whether it’s a magazine to look at while you get ready or a TV show you recorded, give yourself a little pat on the back for getting out of bed.
