Antrim man faces court on child abuse charges

A MAN FROM ANTRIM IS due to stand trial accused of sexually assaulting four of his nieces over 30 years ago, between 1976 and 1980. The man, 48, cannot be named in order to protect their identities. The charges include eight counts of indecent assault, two of gross indecency with a child, and two of rape. He was released on bail today, to face trial at a later date.
